Overview

The Micro Raptor runs on an ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers. With the implementation of RTOS embedded firmware it is capable of running complex processes and workflows on a small footprint. The Micro Raptor firmware stack has the following key features:

Value System: A data abstraction mechanism that collects, stores and passes data to required services to log and transmit all communication interactions between the edge and cloud services.

Configuration System: Allows for remote configuration of device settings.

Message System: A communication layer that ensures a healthy connection to a remote server and ensures that all security protocols are implemented for end-to-end encrypted data transmission.

Secure Update Service: A service to securely download and verify new firmware updates. This service forms part of the secure boot mechanism integrated into the with the bootloader.

The Micro Raptor is a purpose-built edge device that can be incorporated into virtually any use case, from small business to industrial. Once the Micro Raptor is configured for your environment, it will integrate effortlessly with its environment to ensure ease of use, and give customers the lowest cost solution.

Micro Raptor Interface

Defining the product interface is the first step towards building a solution. The Micro Raptor requires an interface definition that describes the inputs from equipment/devices and connects it up to its base module. The base module runs the Micro Raptor stack that applies the edge intelligence and opens a bi-directional 1 communication port to cloud services.

The interface board hosts the Micro Raptor base board and shares external connections with the Microcontroller.

With the edge interface defined the hardware blueprint can be established and the product specification will be finalised. At this point the costing / commercials can be discussed and the design can be completed. Manufacturing of the first samples will follow soon after and a POC can be presented. The product is finalised with an enclosure suited for the environment and applicable standards.

Integration and commissioning will be the final step to confirm full functionality of the product and testing of all required workflows from edge to cloud.
