Account Management

OAuth config: enhancement

The Account management’s OAuth config was enhanced to support Google cloud identity integration. If an OAuth config is configured, the user will now have the option to select either Microsoft Active directory or Google Cloud identity to integrate with. Both options must first be configured by the Tenant owner in Portal to make it available for all Commander Accounts on the tenant. More info about Google cloud identity is available here: https://cloud.google.com/identity

Core Portal

Portal: Enhancement

A new feature flag “Enable Iframe widgets” is made available on the Core portal to disable iFrame functionality for new tenants to discontinue its use.

Portal: Maintenance

The option to export all Core portal users was removed from Core Portal’s User management.

Portal

Portal: Enhancement

A new Field called ‘Alarm log description’ was added to Commander’s alarms. The field can be set from the Activation/deactivation events of a Trigger, similar to the way that an Alarm description field is set. The Alarm description will continue to be used when displaying Alarms in Dashboard and Radar however, the Alarm log description will be available to be used when configuring a Webhooks call for Commander alarms.

Security: Google authentication support

Support for Google Single sign-on (SSO) was added to Commander and can be configured from Portal on the Tenant owner account. SSO configuration can only be configured per tenant and will be available to all Commander accounts on the tenant. The integration can be configured within Portal’s Environment settings, on the Authentication configuration tab. A Client ID and secret will be required to complete the configuration and must be created on the Google account.

Usage: Maintenance

The Usage API calls used to retrieve consumption statistics were restricted to 365 days to reduce the number of data that can be retrieved with a single API call.

Radar

Radar widget: Enhancement

Radar views were enhanced to allow the user to view an entity’s historical values, historical values will be available for any entity linked to a widget on the view. A new option ‘View history tab’ was added to the overflow menu that can be found in the top left corner of the view, which will open a side panel listing all the widgets on the view.

UX enhancements: Copy and Paste

Radar design studio was enhanced to allow the copy and paste of Radar widgets. When a widget is selected, new options are available in the toolbar to allow the widget to be copied to the clipboard. The toolbar contains options to paste a widget from the clipboard onto the view or into the selected view panel. When pasting a widget, the user has the option to paste the widget as is, paste without subscriptions, or paste the widget and reset the widget’s settings to the defaults. The copy-and-paste functionality is also available from the context menu which can be accessed by performing a right click on the widget.

Radar widgets: Enhancement

A new component called ‘Name’ was added to all Rader widgets. A widget’s name will be defaulted to the type of widget, for example ‘Single value widget’, however, the user has the option to rename the widget within Radar design studio. The widget name does not need to be unique and must be between 2 and 50 characters long. The Widget name will be displayed in Radar’s Historical values side panel so that a user can easily find a widget within the list.

Security

Security enhancement

The default password policy for all new deployments was updated to ensure all new tenants conform to our high-security standards. The default password policy will require at least one uppercase, lowercase, and 1 numeric value, with a minimum password length of 12 characters. A restriction was applied to ensure that passwords do not contain more than 2 of the same characters consecutively.

Security enhancement

Commander security was enhanced by allowing a user to request a new user invite. When a new user tries to activate their Commander user by using an expired invite, they will have the option to request a new invite by clicking the ‘Resend invite’ button that will be displayed below the message informing them that the invite has expired. A new user must complete the registration process by using a valid invite to ensure that they have access to the email address specified.
