Account Management
Account Dormancy enhancement
With the planned self-signup feature of Commander, there is an expected influx of new accounts to test the platform. Dormant account checks have been added to Commander to enable enhanced control of these Commander accounts.
There are 2 different states for dormancy
- Dormancy Warning
- Dormant
When does an account go into “Dormancy Warning” ?
When no log-ins or telemetry messages have been received for this account for 30 days the state of the account will be changed to “Dormancy Warning”.An e-mail notification will be sent to the account owners notifying them of the change. The account status will automatically revert back to its original state if any log-ins or telemetry messages have been received within the 30 days it went into “Dormancy Warning”.
When does an account go into “Dormant” ?
Once the 30 days has passed since it went into the “Dormancy Warning” state it will be changed to “Dormant”. The account owners will receive notification of this change via e-mail. The only way to change the state of this account is to contact the Administrator to manually change the state to “Active”. The account will be marked for deletion if the account was in “Dormant” state for 30 days.
When does the account get deleted in this process?
An account gets marked for deletion if an account stayed in the “Dormant” status for 30 days. There is a configurable grace period when the account gets physically removed. A notification is sent to all account owners when an account is marked for deletion.
Account Subscriptions
New : Account subscriptions
New functionality was added to Commander to allow Account subscriptions to be created for the Tenant. Only Tenant owners can create, edit, and delete bundles. Account subscriptions allow plans to be created for different tiers of Accounts, these plans will dictate what features are available for the Account as well as the limits that will be placed on the Account. The Subscription plan is created once and then applied to multiple Accounts.
